General Information

QUIZZES: These 60 point, short quizzes will cover future material. The lowest 2 grades for quizzes/worksheets will be dropped. Quizzes will be taken online. The quizzes will be at your Moodle page (inside Pipeline) site, usually on a weekly basis. These will not be accepted late.

WORKSHEETS/HOMEWORK: The 60 point worksheets are designed to help you over material which is not covered in class or material that is rather difficult and needs some additional explanation. The links to these worksheets will be at your Moodle page (inside Pipeline) site
ALL PAPERS ARE DUE 3 MINUTES AFTER CLASS BEGINS. Minus 10% per day for all late assignments that can be accessed. If not accessible, no late worksheets/homework will be accepted.

EXAMS: These 200+ point exams cover all the material from the last exam. There are 100 multiple choice questions worth 2 points each. No devices are permitted. English as a second language students may use a PAPER Dictionary.


ALL students MUST take all 3 exams (including Exam 3 - final).
Failure to NOT take all three exams will result in:
A. being dropped from the class if before the last drop date
B. a grade of INC. (incomplete) until the exam is taken (up to 2 weeks late)- regardless of the grade earned to that point in the semester.
C. after a two week wait (see B), a grade of 'F' will be issued.

HOW TO MAKE UP AN EXAM For 101A or 101B

You may make up ONE exam due to an absence.

LIMITS FOR EXAMS:
* NUMBER - Only one exam may be done as a make-up. Any more than one and you will begin with a 10% penalty.
* TIME LIMIT - You will have a week to make up an exam from the day it is given.
* PENALTIES: Exams taken after the 1 week limit will lose 10%/day.

WARNING: EBS 114 is an office. Therefore expect normal office activity such as people working around you, the answering of phones, the running of duplicating machinery, and students/staff coming in/out. The times listed below are the times our office is open. Our department staff will NOT stay beyond the hours listed.

Your one make up exam will be given in EBS 114.
Each exam taken after the limit of one begins with a minus 10% penalty.

These are at your SBCC Pipeline site and available to you for at least 5 days. There are no make up opportunities. The lowest 2 will be dropped.


Reviewing your Exam

You may review the latest exam in EBS 114 with Jan or Naomi.
They will only have these up to a week after the exam is given.
