Ch.9

I’ll cover our galactic center.

You be able to:

Explain how the Period-Luminosity Relation is used to determining
distances within our galaxy.

List the major parts of our galaxy and know where they are located.

Know what the differences are between a Population I and a Population II star.

Chapter 10

I’ll cover the Hubble Law, the Local Group, and Quasars.

You should know on what basis galaxies are classified (Hubble did it first).
